10 years in the pageant industy has taught me a lot.
I attribute much of my success in my adult life to pageants and modeling experience. Since 2002, I have competed in various contests, pageants, and scholarship programs.

I won my first state title as Miss Illinois International 2009 at the College of DuPage on September 13, 2008 and competed internationally at the Miss International pageant in July 2009.
Recently, I won my first Mrs. pageant as the new Mrs. Illinois Galaxy International 2012. I went on to compete against other married women internationally on July 28, 2012 in Orlando, Florida.
How I developed my platform...
It is my goal to leave a lasting impression on any audience or one-on-one conversation about how I became involved with the Miss America Program. My first pageant was when I competed for Miss Macomb in 2002 was at Western Illinois University. This was my freshman year and I recently lost my best friend to an abusive relationship and her name was Michelle Zilligen. She graduated from Queen of Peace High School with me in 2001 and shortly after she became a victim of an abusive relationship and was found murdered in her boyfriend's apartment on September 30, 2001 in Chicago Ridge, IL. This was my first platform and very difficult to speak about which lead me to my next platform of youth violence prevention through the EDGE Program.
EDGE stands for Education for Gang Evasion and it is ran by the Oak Lawn Police Departmetn and a program for 7th graders as a sister program to D.A.R.E. I also speak about my recent experience being a victim of electronic harassment through the internet including my Facebook account. I am working with State Representative Darlene Senger on House Bill 4642 for the amendment to make first time offenders of electronic harassment a felony. I serve as the spokeswoman for "Spirit: A Magazine Designed for the Diverse Woman" a publication that empowers women of all ages, races, and religion. Currently, I work in medical sales for Apria Healthcare as a Senior Sales Representative.
